Where JM Roofing Works: North-East and North-Central Florida
JM Roofing LLC is based in Pomona Park, on US 17 between Satsuma and Crescent City in Putnam County. From there Juan and the crew cover north-east and north-central Florida, from Jacksonville down to Daytona Beach and west to Ocala and Lake City.
Putnam County
Palatka is the county seat and about 15 minutes up US 17 from our base. It is home ground: the old houses near the St. Johns riverfront, the block houses south of Crill Avenue, and the lake country out toward Interlachen. Metal roofs are common on the river and lake houses here, and we put on a lot of them.
Flagler County
Palm Coast sits on the Atlantic side of Flagler County, and salt air changes what a roof needs. On the saltwater canal streets we talk about aluminum panels and coastal finishes. Inland, the 1980s and 1990s subdivisions with screened pool enclosures are mostly on a second or third shingle roof.
Volusia County
Daytona Beach has beachside homes living in salt spray and mainland neighborhoods full of concrete block houses from the 1950s onward, which take a metal roof well. DeLand, the county seat and home to Stetson University, mixes a historic downtown of older frame houses with newer subdivisions on its edges. Tri County Metals has a DeLand location, so panels do not travel far.
St. Johns County
St. Augustine is the oldest city in the country, and its historic district has review rules on what a roof can look like. Outside downtown, the subdivisions off State Road 16 and 207 and the beach homes on Anastasia Island are a different job: newer decks, open wind exposure, and salt within a few miles of the ocean.
Duval County
Jacksonville is the northern edge of our territory and the biggest city in it. We take work across Mandarin, the Southside, the Westside and out to the beaches, on everything from 1920s Riverside bungalows to 2000s subdivisions with long, cut-up rooflines.
Marion County
Ocala is horse country west of the Ocala National Forest. Barns and farmhouses out there have carried metal roofs for generations, and the ranch houses in town and the subdivisions off State Road 200 are following.
Columbia County
Lake City is the far west end of where we go, out where I-75 meets I-10. It is a rural county with plenty of manufactured and modular homes, farm buildings and older frame houses on big lots, and a long metal panel on a simple gable is the roof most people there ask for first.

Roofing in Lake CityHow Far We Drive from Pomona Park
Palatka and Crescent City are a few minutes away. Palm Coast and DeLand are under an hour. St. Augustine, Daytona Beach and Ocala run an hour or so, depending on which side of town you are on. Jacksonville is closer to an hour and a half and Lake City nearer two. Tania works the drive into the schedule, and Juan shows up when he says he will.
Yes. A long drive is a normal part of roofing in a rural corner of Florida. Tania sets a time that works for the distance, Juan comes out to look at the roof himself, and the estimate is written up the same way it would be for a house in Palatka.
Almost certainly. The eight towns above are the ones we get asked about most, but the area between them is full of places we already work: Crescent City, Welaka, Satsuma, Interlachen, Bunnell, Hastings and Pierson among them. Call (386) 559-2169 with the address and Tania will tell you straight away.
Yes. Metal roofing, roof replacement, roof repair, inspections and storm damage work are the same on the coast as in the lake country. Financing through Regions Bank is available everywhere we work.
